Moffat Langeveldt is a dynamic, self-motivated and resourceful individual with over 20 years’ experience in the FMCG retail and distribution sectors, with a proven ability to identify, develop, and strengthen brands and people in order to ensure a lasting value and legacy is built and attained.

Moffat’s entry into the FMCG sector 20 years ago was through MAKRO Zimbabwe (a subsidiary of Massmart Holdings South Africa) as Group Accountant in 2001, and where he ended off as General Manager for Zimbabwe in 2008.

Over the last decade, Moffat was with the BRANDS AFRICA Group (a renowned distribution company in Zimbabwe), known for building and growing both local and international brands specific to the FMCG sector. These brands included Proctor & Gamble, SC Johnson, Lindt, Ferrero Rocher, Perfetti Van Mella, Redbull, Robertsons Winery, and many more. During his time with this group, he held positions of Group Commercial Director and until his exit from the group, where he was the Regional Managing Director (Expansion Markets Sub-Saharan – Africa). Countries covered encompassed: Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Botswana.

Under His leadership, Brands Africa claimed awards for: “Most developed Export Market Distributor” for SC Johnson & Company in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013. In 2014, the “Best Distributor Award” runner up from Lindt (Swiss Chocolatiers) for the Middle East, Africa and Indonesia Markets. In 2015, “Supplier of the Year Award” from TM/PicknPay Supermarkets. Moffat’s desire and passion to see businesses grow and attain global standards within Zimbabwe and the region, led him to open a consultancy firm, “Surpassing Excellence” in 2017, placing a Managing Partner to run the consultancy firm. The Firm is based in Harare, Zimbabwe. In 2018 Moffat was head hunted back into the FMCG sector where he is currently, as the Managing Director of Warpack Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd (Part of the Route-2-Market Group) based in Harare, Zimbabwe.

For Moffat, setting a standard and quality equitable to any global standard is more than possible with the right culture, business strategy, skills resource and policy structures.

He holds qualifications in SMI/LMI-Effective Personal Leadership BCom Finance, UNISA MBA – Leadership and Sustainability, University of Cumbria (Cand.) Moffat’s experience spans in Project Management, Brand Building, Financial Management, Business / Market Development and Formulating & Implementing
